Biography

Dr. Iglesias Pascual is an Assitant Professor in the Department of Languages and Linguistics. He received his MA in Journalism from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid/El País and worked as a reporter before he moved to the United States to pursue a doctorate degree. He earned his MA in Spanish from Ohio University and his PhD in Spanish and Latin American Literatures and Cultures from The Ohio State University. 

Dr. Iglesias Pascual’s research examines queer bodies and kinships as well as language and visual images in urban and virtual spaces through queer literature and film in Latin America, particularly in the Southern Cone region, as they conform to discourses that contest heteronormativity.
